Clinical Hypnotherapy |
|
Hypnosis produces an altered state
in an individual when their conscious mind is
bypassed and the unconscious mind accessed. It is
sometimes referred to as 'focused awareness' as, in
effect, a person is narrowing their field of
attention and concentrating more than they would do
when going about their daily tasks. Hypnotherapy is
therefore the use of clinical hypnosis within a
therapeutic environment. The unconscious is far
more powerful than the conscious mind and, it could
be said, 'tape records' all our experience.
Hypnosis, often with doctor referral, can therefore
be a beneficial way to access self-limiting
attitudes and behaviour patterns formed throughout
our lives. Past painful events suppressed, repressed
or forgotten by the conscious mind can be
illuminated and, if necessary, changed to create a
more positive and healthy attitude - essential for
healing and improving relationships in our everyday
lives generally.
Anyone visiting a competent clinical
hypnotherapist can expect to experience a pleasant
relaxing and enjoyable light trance during their
session. Contrary to urban myth, you will not 'get
stuck', 'lose control' or become 'unconscious'.
Quite the opposite in fact, as you will be in full
control of yourself and can therefore choose what to
reveal. You should leave a good practitioner feeling
personally empowered and having acquired new
alternatives for your future. |

Programming |
|
NLP is a practical,
solution-focused therapy encompassing models, skills
and techniques for thinking and acting very
effectively in life - whatever the challenge. Its
purpose is not only to be useful to any individual
but to increase their choice and personal happiness.
NLP techniques are also widely used in the fields of
education, sport and commerce. Once learnt the
skills can be very readily recalled. |

Emotional Freedom Technique |

EFT was developed by Gary Craig in
the USA and is another solution-focused therapy
which shares the linguistic and reframing patterns
of NLP. Extremely simple to learn, it can be used by
all ages and once taught can be applied to any
situation causing fear or anxiety. Conditions which
respond well to EFT include phobias and fears of
forthcoming events - interviews, surgery, medical
and dental appointments for example. |
